I love this shot, here we have a tender moment between a parent and a baby swan. I love the way its restd its head on his/her side with its eyes closed. It has the sense of tenderness about it. Elizabeth and I have photographed this swan family a few months back and so it was lovely to go back this week and to discover that all three babies are still alive. Hope you enjoy tonights contribution.
Happy Snapping

This is a sweet moment to capture and I like the placement of the swans against each other as well as within the frame as a whole. The constrast of the light coloured cygnet against the darker adult is also eye-catching. :)
It is interesting to see how much the young bird has grown as I have not seen the swans since the end of July. I was going to go in search of them today but ended up doing the Spoonbill first and then it started raining so I didn't get to the swans. :(
TFS
Cheers

Hi Nicki,
The cygnet is much larger than I expected when you said 'baby' swan.
What a great shot of mother and young.
I'm glad they're all surviving .... specially with dogs jumping in the water there and chasing them like we saw the other day.
Cheers
Steve
Hi Nicki -
This is really a tender shot. Love their position and their moments of being together.
You composed very well. And you did a good job.
