[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found these tiny yellow Hygrocybes growing from a bank on the Coal Creek walkway about a week ago.
I've almost given up trying to name yellow Hgrocybes.
There are just so many similar ones, and different publications have different information about the same species.
Hygrocybe cerinolutea H.julietae and H.miniceps are all possible IDs for these little yellows, although only the microscopic spore examination would reveal the true identity.
If anyone thinks they know for sure,by all means enlighten me.

Hope you like the photo anyway.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers
Steve

Hello Steve,
A great shot of these small yellow fungi taken from a superb POV with fine sharpness and wonderful contrast against the substrate. Beautiful composition too.
Nice one mate and thanks!
Have a good weekend,
Ivan

Hello Steve !Super macro!
I never saw till now yellow mushrooms. Very interesting and beautiful picture of you offered today.
Have a beautiful day,
Adrian

Are there's nothing like a challenge I would go for H.julietae. As these look to have deep decurent gills and a stipe that is tapering down to the base.

Hi Lord,
these fungi look like worms. Beautiful composition and excellent background to show the yellows in excellent view.
Very nicely composed.

regards,
Foozi

NB: Right now we have plenty of mangoes. Yummy!

Hi Steve,

Another one of those magnificently colored fungi. I like the contrast with the background. As always, there is the humidity. Very good details despite the tiny species. Congratulations and greetings.

Jesús

Hi Steve,
Beautiful Hygrocybes, and with color which is very difficult to capture without overexposure (I call it "wet yellow" and I suffer from this problem sometimes when photographing flowers with this kind of color). So, extra congratulations from me for the exposure, and a "normal" one for the greatly composed pic with such interesting and wonderful fungi. Except for the color the habit reminds me to some of our Rickenella and Omphalina species.
Tfs, cheers, László
