This is the New Zealand wood pidgeon, 2nd photo in a series of 3, shot from my front door. They come for the sugar water, 100 grams of sugar dissolved in one liter of water. An elegant bird.

Another fine and pleasing image of this wood pigeon taken from a different angle and viewpoint. I always like a centred composition although I know that other photographers are not always in favour of that. It is beautiful to look at this most colourful bird from behind as one can see the lovely tailpiece to its best. I agree with your notes. It is indeed an elegant bird. Thanks for sharing.
