[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I found this group of Fungi ( ID unknown) on an old rotting stump covered with moss.

These fungi were no more than 1 cm tall. Notice the moss and the spore heads.

Can someone help with the ID.

I rested the camera on the stump to take the shot. I had to take a few to manage a still shot. In the end I used time delay so I didn't shake the camera when I pushed the shutter button.

I used ACDsee to crop and resize the image.

Yeah Sue, this looks like very dense area of town ;-) You found nice place and photographed it very well. I'm not sure about composition - maybe cropping upper part of picture would help a little? Anyway - good place, good photo!

Hi Sue, it looks a pleasant village full of cottages with trees growing in the streets. I have done a quick workshop to crop it a bit more and to brighten it a bit. I hope you like it. For such small fungi I think you have done a really great job. Well shown, thank you.

I love the shot. Nice colors and detail. I have not found the little elves yet. I love the title. The bad part is now I will have this song called funky town running thru my head.(Lots of empty space to run in)

Nice shot, although Janice's level and crop corrections are right. But the scene itself is awesome.
Living in Europe, with very different fungal flora than in NZ, I can't make a proper ID, but it's clear Your species belongs to Masrasmiaceae family.
