Whangaroa harbour (again)
Okahumoko is the name of this promontory in Pekapeka Bay.
Taken from the top of The Kairara rocks or the Dukes Nose. This was the site of a Maori Pa until 1827 when it was overrun by Hongi Hika. Whangaroa has over 400 Pa sites.
As large as I can make it and have increased focus.
I have a panorama of this and will post tomorrow |

This size looks much better Tony.
What a stunning view, and such a safe place for the yachts to moor. I love seeing all that native bush and what unusual land formation too. Is there a road around this area, or were you walking? Well done and TFS.
