[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the coast just south of the Hokianga Harbour on the west coast of Northland in the North Island of New Zealand. The sea is often rough and the weather is windy. You can see the plants have grown quite flat to the ground. It is not a safe place to swim.

Just over the water (the Tasman Sea) is Australia, about 1200 miles away.

Photo cropped, sharpened, and exposure and contrast auto-fixed, using Microsoft Digital Image Pro 10.

Good shot, you should rotate it CCW 1 degree to get a flat horizon line.

Good landscape. This is really nice composition. The foreground colours against the grey cloudy sky (how unusual for NZ!) really sets the image nicely. Good job. TFS.

Lovely place Janice and you rendered it very well. Great colourful contrast between the foreground and the sky/sea. Great idea with the two people in the picture contributing with a sense of distance. - Only nit, I am afraid that the water will disappear in some short time - meaning the horizon is out of level ;-).

The setting here is just beautiful! I like the overcast conditions, it is a similar shade to the ocean. Very good composition as well.
