This is a photo I took when we were up in Russell, Bay of Island, upper part of the North Island of New Zealand. It is going to have a storm while we are still in the ferry, at that time I wasn't really that scare (I don't know how to swim!) I took this photo thought the rays came outof the sky is quite nice. Not until I download the photo then I relieze how scarry the sky and the sea looks.

Russell Bay of Islands New Zealand
Russell Just a short ferry ride from Paihia was once a port town for whalers and traders but Russell has come a long way since the 1800s when it was described as the hell-hole of the South Pacific. Russell is now famous for its cafes, restaurants and Pompallier not only one of the oldest buildings in New Zealand but also our oldest industrial building. The place today is named after Bishop Jean-Baptiste Pompallier, who arrived in New Zealand in 1838.

Sweety, strong image, very good rendition of the dramatic nature of the moment, good "placement" of the horizon (separation of the sea and sky at the right place). The only nit is the "obstruction" (head?) in the lower right corner. I like it very much though. TFS.
It is an interesting atmosphere, the shots looks in B&W, did you desaturate or is this one the real colour? Thnkas for posting Sweety.

Sweety, I do enjoy the mood here. Nice picture with a sullen atmosphere. Great compositon and POV.
