Beautiful picture. Just as a technical aspect i think there are some artefacts, maybe a trifle overdone sharpening ?

Hi Tim,
Excelent macro of this bumble bee!
I really like the colorful picture you got, with great contrasts.
The light on the flower are really good, with clear details.
But the insect seems to be a little underexposed, you could try to bring more light on the head with the dodge tool, for example.
You got also some noise at the background, that can be easily fixed with a noise reduction tool.
