[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
November is the beginning of the rainy season in the South Pacific. Weather conditions change rapidly from clear blue skies to heavy clouds with isolated showers. Where clouds meet the islands - this picture is taken on Savaii and you can see the shape of the main island Upolu on the horizon - clouds start rising over hot grounds and form spectacular sceneries. Tropical cyclones are very common in this part of the world and develop immense power of destruction.
Their traces can be found everywhere. Empty villages, forests with broken tree giants etc. A Circular Polarisation filter takes all reflections and reveals the colours and contrast. It is a great tool for taking sea and/or clouds photographs.

Very dramatic, nice contrasting elements.

Superb landscape photo!
Blue colors, composition and DOF are wonderful!

Excellent capture, Thomas!
What wonderful cloud development and hues of blue. Your polarization filter did a good job, as have you. Great composition, detail, and note. Thank you.
As an observer it must have given you a sense of imminent danger and anticipation both. What was the outcome of this storm?

Excellent picture. Very dramatic.

Great shot.

This loocs scary Thomas. You captured this very well. I like the varying tones and I can almost feel the tension building.

Very well done and thanks for posting

Honestly, the colours in this shot are just inspired. Isn't nature amazing? Look at the turquoise in the ocean merging into an aqua blue, then the purple hue's in the sky, just beautiful.
An amazing shot, just a superb capture. Well done and thanks.

Bardzo dramatyczny klimat, fantastyczne niebo, świetne zdjęcie.

I love the amazing contrast between skies and waters. The cool saturation of blues/greens are fabulous here! A phenomenal view to remember - well done

fantastic - so much power on my screen!!
TFS - Shir.

Gorgeous tonal range from deep blue to aqua to white. The lighting is wonderful and the empty scene adds to the anticipation of a coming storm. Well done. Matagofie.
