...the ocean.

Yesterday morning I was at Byron Bay, the most eastern part of the Australian mainland, located in New South Wales.
When coming back from the Cape Byron lighthouse and the beach to the car, I noticed this most beautiful sight. There was a rainbow coming out of the ocean. It started off very small and kept "growing" into a beautiful, long, colourful arch. It was really amazing. I've seen rainbows before (of course), but not like this.
I will post some more wider-angled views of this, so you can see the complete effect. It looked like someone just randomly painted a splash of colours in the sky.

Hi Claudia,
well seen and well captured, i like the diagonal corner to corner composition here, the white water of the waves in the background adds some nice detail to that great looking blue. Each rainbow is unique in it's size and location, which makes capturing them even more satisfying!

Wow - this is a stunning shot, rainbows are reputably hard to capture well on camera, here you've found a beauty, and the close almost abstract view is incredible. Wonderful stuff!

Excellent shot Claudia! But.....Where's the Gold! Just kidding(lol) This is really nice, I never seen a picture of the rainbow from either the ending or beggining of one, and here you have at the same time you defunct the myth of a pot of gold being at the end of a rainbow...or maybe it's at the other end,hmmmm?.
