[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
How many photos are found by chance. We stumble upon them and feel real joy and excitement as we click the button. It can be in places we least expect too. Like in this photo, the setting is just a platform that people fish off at low tide. But this day I ventured down to the end of the ramp and went no further, because the tide was rushing in and the waves were washing over this platform. But it was what happened when the water cascaded over the edge that caught my eye. I saw a mini waterfall and when I put the photos onto the laptop I discovered that the water looked like ringlets flowing down. Its the first time I have ever seen water look like this, and I'm glad I was at the right place, at the right time.

Excellent work. You have got the exposure just right to retain the 'ringlet' form, a longer exposure would not have produced the same effect. The contrast between the white water and the deep blue surface of the water on the platform has been very well handled. Your placement of the rocks in the foreground is a good eye-stopper to prevent your eye following the line of water out the bottom of the frame, and the diagonal of the edge of the platform makes for a dynamic composition. You can certainly be well pleased with this image.

I've fished from this spot a few times.
Didn't catch anything though.
