| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Today I returned to Langdons Creek, the small forest stream that I visited yesterday.
This stream flows down from the Paparoa Ranges, through mixed Nothofagus,(beech),native broadleaf and podocarp forest,to flow into the Grey River just a few hundred metres upstream of the small settlement and bridge at Stillwater.
Once again,it was very overcast, which is ideal for photographing forest landscapes, but drizzling with rain a little at times, which was a nuisance.
Today, though,I had my tripod with me,and was able to improve on yesterdays hand held shot.
This is a shot of a typical section of streambed, with lots of mosses, ferns, and sooty black beech tree trunks to be seen.
Its amazing the difference that shooting in manual mode on a tripod makes.
I thought yesterdays hand held shot was pretty good considering the very low light levels, but if I'd had a tripod it would have been clearer like this.
I hope you enjoy the shot.
Thanks for looking.

hello Steve
great picture of this nice forest where i like to walk with my camera
nice light and good details
great shot
greeting lou
My good friend Esteve,
You have appealed to use a tripod and has succeeded magnificently deep photo. The fact that we could use an aperture f/8 (Versus the previous photo with f/2.8) has enhanced the details and nature of substance appears to "walk with us" when I look at this picture. You showed great ability to learn very quickly to get the best for your SX10! Very well done, very good work!
Regards,
Jesús

Hi Steve,
A fine capture with good colors and detail, you have a quite steady hand to shoot under these lightconditions, although a tripod is sometimes better of course, anyway tfs this upload,
Paul

Bonjour Steve,
Ta photo a attiré mon attention.
