Hello Chris,
It's not often we see butterfly images from Australia, let alone an attractive Lycaenid like this one, that reminds me of a European species called Purple Haistreak.
The technical qualities are fine and show up its upperside features from a great POV while it is feeding.

A slightly weathered but still a beautiful individual Chris, captured quite sharply from a detail revealing POV with just enough DOF, and that dark BG really enhances the beauty of the image. TFS.

What a beauty your Candalides hyacinthine! A butterfly we don't see often on TN. Magical blue of the wings, enhanced by the dark background. Beautiful contrast to the fine white flower. Most beautiful composition.

A splendid capture of a most beautiful butterfly, with good detail and great colours. The soft almost velvet texture of the wings are displayed well and is clearly seen.
