Nice shot. I can ID it for you as I have recently seen lots of them. It is one of the Purple Flag flowers - Patersonia Species. If it was in the Blue Mountains it is likely to be Patersonia Sericea but as my field guide does not have them all I can only narrow it down. A look for these on the net should help you to get an exact ID. These are hard to shoot as they have a sheen the sun reflects from so well done.
