This is not the first time I see this birds... I once saw it fly outside my office windows. I am not 100% it is the same type, but close. These birds are know as Rainbow Lorikeet, birds that feed on nectar also pollinate flowers. Lorikeets lap up nectar with their fringed tongue.

Lorikeets differ from other members of the parrot family in that rather than subsisting on a diet of seeds, they require pollen, nectar and fruits. As a result of their feeding habits, they play a major beneficial role in the pollination of trees and flowering plants.

Yes, in hard, black and white, winter times in Poland we desperately need colours. So thank you Sweety for these parrots! It is real hot picture, I like it very much!

This is funny; I have these EXACT same birds on film, I shot them when I was in the Auckland Zoo last October. :) This is in the birdcage where you can walk into, right? Nice picture btw! :)

Great colours and pose. I love your birds - full of colour. In Poland all birds are usually black, grey, beige etc...
I love it.

I love these birds! They are so beautiful, their colors so vibrant. One thing I don't like about them though is their noise. They can be so loud! But they are certainly beautiful and you have a good shot of this pair.

Very colorful close-up of these lovely birds. At the Oregon Zoo they have a lorikeek landing where you can feed nectar to them and they'll land on your hand, arm, head, so fun. Thank you for this lovely memory.

Sweety, they're cute and colorful. Very nice shot.

The composition is nice too.

Thanks for sharing.

A fantastic capture, Sweety! I love the colors; I was so amazed to see the colorful birds when I was in Australia. These type of birds are only seen in pet shops and zoos in the U.S.

Thanks for posting!
