| The natural reserve Lagoon of Diamante is located approximately to 200 km to the southwest of the City of Mendoza, in the department of San Carlos, Argentine Republic. Provincial Protected Natural Area in 1995 by means of Law Nº 6.200 was declared. It has 13,000 has. And it protects an important sector of the crest of the Main Mountain range in Central the $andes. It itself includes/understands Maipo volcano and the lagoon, which constitutes one of the main reservorios of fresh water of the province. The set of the old boiler of Diamante and the Complex of Maipo Volcano is located on the crest of the Mountain of Andes, 34º10' S, to a 3,300 altitude of msnm (the lagoon) and 5200 msnm (Maipo Volcano). At the beginning of the Quaternary period the collapse of an enormous volcanic boiler of 14 to 17 km of diameter took place, where at the moment the lagoon is located. |

A lovely shot - nice composition, good colours. The only thing that spoils it - for me - is your name in the corner - it takes away from the lovely scene.
I think you have translated the spanish word into enlish as boiler - it should be crater (like the top of this volcano), or more likely caldera - a big crater.
