a great macro portrait of the grasshopper with nice structural details seen on the black surface. Colour contrasts appear a little soft. I prepared a workshop - only some minor modifications - and hope that you will like the results.

Wow, that's a detailed portrait! I like the light and the way you managed the black shiny armour of that grasshopper. I wonder how the picture would look if framed vertically and a bit tighter. Anyway, a great contribution.

I've seen this in Brazil. It is considered a real plague.
They munch almost everything in their sights.

Please to meet you .This grasshopper looks as if he has been polished for the occasion. I have never seen such a black and red grasshopper in my life. I would have loved to have seen its whole body. Fantastic close up with good detail. I love the fine hair on its body and the massive big black eye. Composition is excellent. An image well presented and worth a big smiley and a delight to look at. Thanks for sharing, it was a first for me.
