Colorful Vista of the trunk of an araucaria. It show this colours underneath its thin crust, that is quite fine and usually falls. It is taken to about 60 cm.
I think is Paraná Pine


Scientific or Latin name: Araucaria angustifolia (Bertol.) Kuntze. - common or vulgar Name: Pine of Parana, Pine of Misiones, Pine of Brazil, Tree candelabrum.
- Family: Araucariaceae.
- Origin: Native of the south of Brazil and north of Argentina.
- Its wood is easy to work and it is used in the construction.
- Their seeds are eatable.
- Has a forestal use than ornamental
- it is used as exemplary isolated by his bearing.
- it is multiplied by seeds.

Hi Hernan
Now this is an interesting deviation and a pleasant one at that. This is quite a well seen artistic POV of this tree. It would be rather interesting to know where does the common name 'Parana Pine' originate from and why? Maybe as a workshop you can post a photo of the tree in full size.
Excellent colours and exposure was well managed.

Bellísimo aspecto tiene esta corteza de árbol de araucaria, que nunca ví. Color y textura excelente.
Me gustan mucho el aspecto de la corteza de árboles de cerca.
