Hi all!
This pic is from last winter. We had lots and lots of sunny and snowy days, so we´ve tryied to ride along all the ski resort... and more over!
The pic was taken crossing the ski resort borders, a place we call "Cañadón" (Canyon).
What you can see is one of the slopes (the border of the ski resort). At the left you can see O´connor mountain chain. The lake is Nahuel Huapi. The island in the middle is Victoria´s island. At the right you can see the end of Quetrihue´s peninsula (That´s the Arrayanes National Park, there you have Arrayanes forest). The mountains at the back are part of the Andes mountains. As you can see mountains grows up from left to right: that´s because at left is where the meseta starts, near Bariloche city. (You have Andes mountains at the west and they become little while going to the east, close to the meseta, that endes at the Atlantic ocean)
The picture was taken at midday. As you can see it was a very sunny day. I take the picture trying to make a straight line direct to Bariloche, (like "I´m in Villa La Angostura and I wanna know where Bariloche is, wanna look at it".)
This is what i see each winter, i can assure you that is a very magical place: there is only silence and the wonderful of the nature. Here I feel so free, so happy, so plenty.

I'm surprised to see how similar your landscape is to mine here in Switzerland. I like this simple, yet very pleasant panoramic view very much and have read your notes with great interest.

Brenda, you have many reasons to feel happy and plenty there! Wow, it's a ski resort, I hope the money makers won't spoil that beautiful land of yours. What a view, it is breathtaking, it is a fantastic panorama. I understand that you feel free as a bird in such a place, I would think I can fly! The mountains in the background look like clouds and the lake is almost a perfect circle, what a landscape. Thank you to share your beautiful country, I don't know much about it but I am glad to discover!

Una foto extraordinaria, cuanta belleza hay en este lugar, la profundiad de la imagen nos muestra muchos kilómetros de exensión con una definicón más que aceptable. Muy bien vista y bien tomada esta escena paisajística. Seguro que en este lugar no te molestarán nunca las avispas que me has comentado, jejeje.

Excellent composition. The snow in the foreground leads the eyes to the lake and the island. It would be nice to see the same shot taken at different times of the day.

I would be tempted to crop one or two centimetres at the top. That will bring us more into the scenery. Just try on the image on this page. Scroll the page all the way up and then scroll down slowly hiding a part of the top. You will see the difference less sky make. Perhaps you won't like the result. It is all a matter of taste. In any case, Brenda, it is a very good landscape photo.

A beautiful mountain scenery surrounding the lake and the island. The reflection of the light on the snow brings out the colors. The point of view leads our eyes to infinity. Have a nice day.

You found a great point of view here, showing the diversity of the landscape very well...
I notice the lake is not ice covered as it appears to be located below snow line this time of year!
