MY 200th PHOTO IN TREKNATURE.COM:
" Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of
death, I will fear no evil, for thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me, as thou
preparest the table before me."
Psalm 23
I am not a very religious person, unfortunatelly, but
there are certain moments in life when you wake up saying a prayer hopping there is a God next to you watching your step, someone that may guide your path so you can see the light again.
So it is when you cross a glacier and a blizzard blanks
out your way and bottomless crevasses run along your path but you need to keep moving. The enjoyment of alpine climbing is trumendeous but so are the risks you take...
That little red alien is me shelled in GoreTex armour
and bullying around a 60 lbs. backpack across a glacier in the Southern Patagonian Glacial Cap, nearby Cerro Solo, at the border between Argentinean and Chilean Patagonia.

Hi!
brrrr...in one moment I feel the cold atmosphere :)
I like the idea of photo. This man is a great contrast among those white mountains.
Very well done.

Wow, an awesome shot. 'Humans' are normally discouraged from TN posts, but here it really works as it gives us a sense of scale.
Your image reminds me of a Shackleton documentary I watched last night, just incredible!
An amazing image, superbly shot, great pov and composition.
I hope you were wearing a hat young man! ;-)
Thanks for posting.

Radu, congratulations on you 200th. Keep on posting them.

If the man is you, I must consider you didn't take the shot - or did you set the camera to shoot a few seconds later?

Anyway, a nice capture. I like mood a lot.

Congratulation on your 200th photo, Radu. Very chilli one this time. Nice composition and perfect exposure in these uneasy conditions!
Greetings from Poland!
Michal

I do not envy you, but your braveness fascinates me. And your very good pictures, too!
