Man versus Nature
Or rather "Man versus his own nature". A few friends from TN convinced me I should post an ice climbing photo and I gave way, here it is... I guess you
imediatelly realise this is not the kind of photo one
you see everyday on TrekNature everyday but yet again
this photo has nothing to do with civilization either.
The one in the picture is me on a self attempt to save
a hero shot reminder of the amazing times I had
crossing the southern Patagonian glacial cap in
Nov 2005. Exploration and explorers was something that
always fascinated me, hence my TN name obviously. There is something magnetically magic about pushing the boundaries and living extreme adventurous and not so common experiences; I am thankful that ice
climbing and mountaineering in general, they provided
me with plenty of that feeling. If a thousand years
ago man was discovering new races, a few hundred years
ago new continents, and less than century ago he
reached all the poles and highest peaks of the planet, now we
are left with sad feeling that there is nothing left
for us to discover virgin teritory but I encourage you to dream; yes the key is to
dream and imagine, the places still exist. I found new climbing routes, never explored, I
found new ways of getting to certain mountains. I am sure new
species and new places are still waiting to be discovered and set
foot upon, regardless they are on space or on Earth...

Awesome, Radu!
Talk about an extreme sport. : )
Knowing your penchant for adventures, I have long figured out your TN name of Xplorator. But I am very curious. Where does Radu come from? What does it mean?
TFS this wonderful photo. : )
Impressive note. You could easily be a writer...
As for the photo, it's great to have a passion I just wish yours wasn't so risky... :)
