Hi Krzysztof
Excellent shot - I have never managed to get agood shot of these despite having seen them many times. You were lucky to get such a good shot - despite the branch. Well done.
They seem like quite recently evolved birds of prey to me - just my impression.

Hand held...all of you folks are so good at hand held...This is an area in which I sort of shake a bit...perhaps from the excitement..I must learn to relax more...but in a situation where you were so close, must mean that you were totally calm and relaxed. Very nicely done and a change of pace from your other images! And Mario..Mr Bird of course:-) We shall not forget him by any means...a nice dedication.

Great that we have both Northern and southern Caracara shown on one day here at TN! I wouldn't know how to tell them apart - maybe the northern species is more orange round the beak.
Good catch in natural environment! Well done! Cheers, Klaus

Hello Krzysztof,
Though a branch is partly in the way this is a fine capture of a Southern Caracara. The sharpness and lighting are good and sufficient to isolate it from the Notofagus tree BG. Nice compositiontoo.
Thanks for sharing this image of an interesting species of S. American raptor.

Hej Krzysiu
Pozdrawiam
Ania

Hi Krzysztof,
You captured a nice shot of this raptor among the branches, focusing is really good despite the busy foreground and background. Good details and composition.

What an interesting bird, this Caracara, Chris!
We have rarely seen this species on TN, so you have contributed a great deal to our knowledge by sharing this image from South America.
The image is most natural and I don't mind the least bit if a part of the bird is hidden behind the branch of a tree.
TFS and regards.

Hello Krzysztof, what a great picture of that pretty rare bird, the sharpness is incredible and the light and exposure are fantastic, too bad for that twig in front of the bird but it's still a wonderful capture! Congrats for that! Thanks,
Mario
