[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Elegant Crested Tinamou, Martineta, is a medium-sized Tinamou, up to 41cm long. The species is a dark or yellowish brown partridge-like bird with a short tail and wings, two white stripes on each side of its face and a long crest with an upward pointed tip. The feet have no hind toes and the bluish or greyish legs are short and strong, as they are highly terrestrial bird.
The Elegant Crested Tinamou is found in the lowland dry shrubland and habitats of subtropical/ tropical regions of southern Chile and north-west, central and southern Argentina. It may also be found in high altitude shrubland habitats at altitude 2,500 m.

A well exposed image of tinamu, pale appearance of noth bird and BG tires the eye, but the aesthetic view is godd.

Hi Ferran

A new species for TN and me. The tinamou species have exploited all teh habitats of south and central America. I recntly saw Highland Tinamou in Costa rica.

Great shot with excellent sharpness and POV. love the grassland environment. Well done and TFS.
