This is an only bird on the World it can fly back! Hummingbirds are amazing flickers flying so fast it is very hard to take picture of them. I was trying for many days before I got a good shot like this one, when hummingbird was "hovering" for a moment and I had time to take a picture. I took this picture in northern Argentina in Misiones state.
On this photo you can see Versicoloured Emerald Amazilia versicolor, Picaflor esmeralda (Arg, Bol), Beija-flor-de-banda-branca (Br). This is a super small bird: a total length of c. 9 cm (3½ in). This hummingbird lives in central and eastern South America. It occurs in many habitants especial at the edges of cleanings in forests or gallery forests.
Technical detail: I was trying to show its move during the flight, that's was my point to use speed lamp and exposure time 1/200. |

Hello Piotr,
I love the irridescence on the plumage.
The hovering pose is fantastic... and the blur of the wings is very suggestive.
Interesting process you used to achieve that effect.
TFS. : )
