This is a Patagonian Mara (Dolichotis patagonum) lives in Central and Southern Argentina, specially in arid grasslands and scrub desert.
Is a large rodent, one of the world's few monogamous mammals.
Its head and body length is up to 75 cm, and it weighs between 9 and 16 kg.
Patagonian Maras are very active during the day and very social with humans.
I found this on my way to South, and she accepted to eat an apple which I always carry on my backpack when I am traveling. |
