Two pigeons of Chalk-browed Mockingbird on the branches of a tree of white mulberry (Morus alba), waiting for the arrival of your parents.
In spite of having the possibility of flying, their flights did not surpass in any case other branches of the same tree.
Like the adults, I could observe the bellicosity and stridency of its song.

Chalk-browed Mockingbird (Mimus saturninus)
Local Name: Calandria

Identification: grayish gray back with tenuous darker rays. Almost black wings with white borders. Black tail, with lateral rim and extreme target. Wide white eyebrow.

Length of the body: 25 cm

The Chalk-browed Mockingbird remains long time in the ground observing, while it balances his tail moves with short runs in search of insects, worms and other small invertebrates that form their main food.

Excellent singer, imitates skirl sounds and a range of intermediate tones, that combines of multiple forms.
He surprises his faculty to copy the voice of other birds and from other animals, in addition, he gets to imitate the whinny of a horse.
This characteristic originated the denomination of its sort: Mimus, that exactly means "that it imitates".

They are not gregarious nor migratory.
They remain in its territory, that apparently has attachment to him and in addition they defend it when they nest, preventing the incursions of the rivals within its limits.

Your nest is a structure opened, deep, build of small small branches, roots, on trees or shrubs.
The color eggs cream with brown spots measure 28 xs 20 mm.

Very good Ricardo.
Great composition , nice light and a very good note.
Great work.

hello Ricardo,
great capture & thanks
