Another... Hoverfly or Wasp?

This is a frequent enough species at this moment... as in other cases I do not have security what insect it is exactly... if it belongs to the family of the hoverflies or if it is really a small wasp.

It has between 13 and 15mm. of length, by forms it and conformation of the eye, personally I think that it could be a wasp.

Generally is hovering or perching around different flowers , perhaps feeding itself on them or in search of prey.

In this image, it is appraised on male flowers of the plant of the Ricinus or Castor Oil, which was published in detail previously with the name of
Ricinus... Panacea or Bioterrorism Agent

If some of the TN friends knows more about this species, I will include later in these notes the information that can contribute to its identification.

I hope you like it.

You get amazing detail on your pictures. I think it is a wasp. I don't know. Well Done

Looks like a wasap to me Ricardo. It's a very good photograph, anyway. You've done very well.
Excellent.

I'm firmly in the wasp camp on this one, the antennae say it all. Very nice work Ricardo. Excellent detail and very good note. Thanks for posting.

Ricardo, as Paul said it's in the antennae. Great shot with lot's of detail. Why did you use such a large aperture setting F4?

Não sei que inseto é esse. Do que sei, é que a foto é exuberante - como é de se esperar.

Valeu por mais essa.

Event though I thing the DOF is great, I find it interesting that you used F/4 in this shot. The image is very sharp and the pollen is visable all over the image.

Great work (As usual)

Thanks for posting
