Hi Ricardo, this is a strange wasp. I don't think god could make his mind up when he made this one. Outstanding details, great lighting and colours. I also like the shadow created on the leaf which gives a more sinister look to it. Nice work and TFS.

A scarry little critter. Not something I want to see up this close for real. I onze got stung by a hornet, and after many years it sometimes still hurts. As Scott mentioned, it looks like it is build up out of different insects.

Un buen documento del insecto es probable por su largo ovipositor que sea de un Ichneumonoidea el fondo tiene cierto brillo que le saca colorido al insecto por relexion solar tal vez un poco menos de brillo? lo coregiria? a pesar deello algunos detalles como la union del abdomen con metanoto (torax posterior) si lohace por arriba o debajo de las coxas posteriores se ven muy bien es de valor taxonomico las espinas de la tibia de pata medial tambien lo que le otorga el valor documental para si uno ve lo ve poder reconocerlo con esta foto como guia de campo.

Beautiful, Ricardo. Great subject, and well recorded. Remarkable detail and clarity. I usually don't like a splash of color like that yellow part because it's distracting, but in this case I think it actually adds to the photo by bringing in a color from the wasp's legs.
