Yellow-rumped Cacique (Cacicus cela)

Continuing my series of the Yucatan, I'm posting a bird not from the Yucatan but from my Brazil also tropical.


Note:

In Peruvian folklore, this species – like other caciques and oropendolas – is called paucar, or – referring to this species only – paucarcillo ("little paucar")[4]. This species is apparently the paucar that, according to a folktale of Moyobamba, originated as a rumor-mongering boy who always wore black pants and a yellow jacket. When he spread an accusation against an old woman who was a fairy in disguise, she turned him into a noisy, wandering bird. The bird's appearance is thought to augur good news

You are flitting around the world:-) A magnificent close-up of this Yellow-rumped Cacique. This is one stunning tropical bird with the beautiful blues and yellows. Excellent details of the beak, eye, face and feathers. A wonderful pose showing him off to great advantage.

This is a wonderful bird very nicely captured here! I like the POV and the focus on the blue eye. Wonderful details of the colourful plumage and a fine soft background too.

Such a beautiful bird, I love the yellowpatches on his back and the blue eyes - they stand out so nicely on the black plumage. His pose is also wondeful, as well s the composition and the POV. Very well done !
