[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Tamanho – aproximadamente 90 cm, pesando 1,5 Kg.

Distribuição - leste do Panamá, Colômbia, Venezuela, Guianas até o sul do Brasil, Paraguai, oeste e leste do Equador, leste do Peru e nordeste da Bolívia.

Habitat - floresta úmida, mas também penetram na floresta decídua tropical, caatinga, matas, capões e barrancos salobros.

Alimentação - sementes, frutos, castanhas, larvas de insetos.

Reprodução - nidificam em troncos ocos de palmeira e outras árvores e também em paredões rochosos. Afofam o ninho com madeira triturada e colocam de 3 a 4 ovos que são incubados por 30 dias.

Status - não globalmente ameaçada.
