Hi Peter
Great shot with excellent low POV. Good detail, but showing movement through the blurred foot.
I never cease to be amazed by the birdlife of South America.

Hi Peter,
you are so lucky to be able to get so close to this bird!
I would have thought they were like the european woodpeckers which are really shy...
You have captured this Flicker very well.
The colours are very well saturated and vibrent.
I like the slight blur of the foot as it adds movement to the photo.
Great sharpness even though there is a slight halo around some of the edges.
An effective low-down POV.
Great work Peter!
Thanks,
Joe

Hello Peter,
A great capture of this marvellous woodpecker. I see that the Campo Woodpecker looks for insects on the ground, like our Black Woodpecker when it is looking for ants. Nice low POV, fien sharpness, colours and excellent composition.
Well done and thanks again for a fine view of another S. American species of bird.

I had made a note to come back to this Flicker today. It is one of the family of which I saw...another sub species but learned of the proper names from other TN'ers...and hence I stopped dead in my tracks just before shutting off the computer last night... This is a fine example Mr. Z. You have a good eye as my dad used to promote me:-) I could not leave this image without comment...

Hi Peter,
What a fascinating specie! Its colors are amazing; it is a beautiful creature, different from the ones we have here! You caught nice details in a good POV and composition. In an ideal world, there wouldn’t be those grasses near its head but we don't live in an ideal world ;) TFS this interesting one!

Minhas homenagens.
