Uma cena um pouco incomum de ser vista é esta, uma orquídea aderia a uma Myrtcaceae (goiabeira). A maioria das orquideas sendo epifitas precisam de substrato adequado. A família Myrtaceae é conhecida pela sua caracerítica de descascar seu tronco. Contudo esta espécie parece ter resolvido o problema se adaptando ao ambiente.
