| I met this, for me unknown bird, on a logde in the Amazon river. It used to stretch itself like a cobra and sound like one, too. Do not know the birds name. Can anybody help me? |

Hi Monica, nice shot. It's a Heron or Bittern, but I can't be any more specific than that. I spent a few minutes on Google trying to isolate him a little better, but wasn't successful. You might do a search here on TN in the same area you shot him in. You never know, you might be lucky.
The colours in this guy are fabulous. I thought he might use a little sharpening so I've prepared a workshop to provide you with some additional options.
This is a Bare-throated Tiger Heron.
