About 5 years ago, I worked in the Central Amazon region in Brazil for one year. I studied the rural use of electricity amongst farmers in the Central Amazon region.
One thing that stunned me the most - next to hundreds of mosquitos - were the incredibly beautiful skies you would see over there.
This is a picture of the build-up of a thunderstorm, with the sunset reflecting on the bottom of the clouds.
The picture was taken with a Sigma SA350 w a 200 ISO film - Think Kodak. The slide was scanned w a Minolta Elite III scanner and a little saturation has been added. Think if I had a digital at that time, results would have been even better.
