This is a group of Xiras (Haemulon aurolineatum) found during a dive in Fernando de Noronha island last year. Actually there were lots more under the rocks and the photo just shows the ones I could reasonably photograph with a very simple compact digital camera.
I am reposting as I realized the resolution used in the first file was horrible. Hope this one is better. |

Hi Fausto, this shot could have used more light but taken as this was with a digital compact you are limited on flash. On the positive side, the crowd effect of the shoal of fish comes across well as do the colours, they almost seem to glow. It must have been a wonderful sight, welcome to TN and TFS :)
