This gentle Nymphalidae is very similar to Heliconius species but actually belongs to another subfamily (Melitaeini).wings span up to 50mm. wick slow and beautifull flight. full of grace.
It was photographed at the Iguazu reserve.
its spanish name ("false erato") refers to its resemblance to the Heliconius specie - Heliconius erato.

Excellent use of DOF, very good use of flash, I like the effect from projecting from the left of the POV, and describing the perspective of the image.
Great details, a very good shot.
