[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a male Swallow-Tanager (Tersina viridis), Saí-Andorinha here in Brazil. These are birds from northern South America, so it is not an easy capture here in the southern! He gave the chance to get as close as I can, but the tree was a little bit high to get better details. The male is light blue, with black markings while the female is mostly green. They feed mostly by catching insects and fruits, and I had the chance to see it feeding insects for 25-20 minutes. This 15 cm (6 inches)long bird resembles a tanager with long wings and a swallowlike bill. I would like to say thank you to my cousin Fabiano, who help me to know everything about this bird.
