Excellent capture of this singular butterfly!
I like so much the POV, that let us admire their wing's transparency, besides the other clear and sharp details.
It's very good the DOF, you got a soft and nicely blurred background.

Hola Jose!

You've done well to isolate this subject with a nice clean background. Crucial for clearwings--my best shot has a twig growing through it... :(

Excellent exposure balance between ambient and flash light. It would have been easy to let the background go dark, giving us not much to see through those wings.

Good POV--the butterfly running parallel to the sensor allows all to be crystal sharp.

I agree that a close crop around the sides of the butterfly and the bottom of the flower (bringing balance to the tightness on top) would easily move this into A+ territory.

All around a great capture! Besides being nearly invisible, these guys move fast--you must have been quick to bring all the elements together.

Hi Jose,

An excellent macro with good exposure,sharpness and colors,imo the picture would have been better when leaving some space above the butterfly,I think a vertical compo,would have worked as well in this compo,

Splendid portrait shot of the clearwing sitting on lantana flowers. Superb bright colours and sharp details. Perfect lighting, POV and DOF. Very nicely composed, though I would have preferred more cropping at the sides and a vertical composition.

¡Qué bien captada la transparencia en las alas de esta preciosa mariposa! Me pregunto si será una Greta diaphana. La composición queda realmente linda con esa sencilla pero bella flor de lantana. Hermoso colorido y excelente fondo para un bello conjunto.
