Just discovering TrekNature and sending my very first picture. This is a picture I did last year in south Brazil, where I stayed a few months...

O nome dela, na Argentina, é "pororó" e tem uma origem guaraní. Essa palavra significa "barulho" e se refere ao barulho que faz a borboleta para marcar seu territorio.

Hello Adrian,

Very nice picture of this butterfly. Good POV and sharpness. Wonderful background. Excellent colours. For the composition, I would have cropped otherwise.

Welcome to TN!
You make a fine start with this excellent capture of H. amphinome, called the Queen Cracker. Theere are several species of Hamadryas, all of which can make a cracking noise during flight.
I like the cropping and the fine composition with the lichen BG and the image is pretty sharp.
