[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the fork-tailed flycatcher (Tyrannus savana). Here in Brazil, we call it “tesourinha” (little scissors, because of its tail).

They youngsters are easy to be recognized, for they have a much smaller tail.

The bird migrates through Brazil, going north. Between September and February it’s in the southeast region of Brazil, the one I live in.

It feeds on insects, which can be captured either when the flycatcher’s on flight or when landed.

It uses dry branches to build its nest.

Hi Livio,

Hi My Friend,
An excellent shot on the "Little Scissors"...Very well composed and framed shot. A good exposured has rendered beautiful colors and nice detail. A great and colorful OOF backround really shows the bird well.
Take care,
Scott

Bonjour Livio

Cool shot of this long tailed flycatcher.

Good sharpness and composition.

The grey plumage contrasts well with the background colours.

Interesting. I like the colors. It isn't as sharpa as i'd like but i think the subject makes the picture interesting. And i guess there's nothing much u can PP here because its tail is sooo long, to improve composition.
Interesting not. Thanks for sharing.

Steph

Hola Livio:

Chapeau my dear friend... a dream bird very well depicted.
Excellent framing including the entirety of the tail, with good colors, sharpness and very appropriate DOF, generating a soft and diffuse bottom.
Seeing in Photo Info, you inform a focal length of 400mm... it is the maximum of the lens, but is it necessary to add the coefficient of conversion of the camera? are they in total 640mm?
Best greetings of your Argentinean friend.

Great pose of this beautiful bird, sharpness and colors are perfect, splendid contrast too. Best regards, Didier.

perfect pic, TFS Ori
