Seriema
Família: Cariamidae
Espécie: Cariama cristata
Seriema ou siriema é o nome vulgar dado às aves pertencentes à família Cariamidae da ordem Gruiformes. São aves de médio porte, terrestres, que preferem correr a voar. O grupo é nativo da América do Sul e habita zonas de pradaria ou florestas abertas. As seriemas alimentam-se de insetos, lagartos e pequenas cobras. Andam em casais ou pequenos grupos. Só voam quando se sentem obrigadas. Muito desconfiadas. A noite abrigam-se no alto das árvores onde também constroem seus ninhos. Do tupi, siriema=pequeno nhandú, ou seriema=nhandú com crista.

Fine capture of an unusual and interesting bird, a Seriema, taken with good sharpness, in a fine pose and from a good low POV.
