Epidendrum longispatum é planta de grande porte, suas canas atingindo, às vezes, até um metro e meio de altura. É planta de altitude, ocorrendo nas áreas periféricas da floresta úmida da Mata Atlântica, onde vegeta sobre tronco e galhos a meia altura, onde forma enormes touceiras.
Tem por habitat as Guianas e três estados do Sudeste brasileiro, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo e Minas Gerais.
Está na lista do CITES como planta em processo de extinção.
Já tinha sido postada mas, por equívoco meu foi apagada e por isso volto a publicá-la.

Hello Raimundo,

Very good picture of the plant! Good POV having a good view of the flowers. Good DOF giving delicate details of the plant. Good light with natural colors on the darck background. Nice composition with the flower in the right part of the frame.
