Octomeria R. Br.
Some 150 species are currently known in Central and South America and in West Indies, with largest diversity in Southern Brazil.
The specimen showed here is Octomeria gracilis, from Brazil, produces loose fascicles of two to four small flowers only about 5 millimeters across. Sepals and petals are cream colored and lip is yellow.
Flowering may occurs variously throughout the year under warm to intermediate conditions.
