The sagüis are lesser the monkeys that exist, its never preênsil long tail, the head longer than wide, long nails with the form of claws (except the one of the thumb) and for the presence of 32 teeth, being eight incisors, four tooths, twelve daily pay-molar and eight molar ones. The thumb is not opposed completely, but hálux yes.
They live in the forests of the South America and Central America, they are found since the Zone of the Canal, in Panama, until the State of the Paraná, but they do not occur in the Venezuela and certain areas of Colombia and Guianas.
