I agree with you in 100% - this Lepidoptera catepillar is amazing! I have never seen anything like it :)
Anyway, unfortunatelly I can not say anything more even about family of this species (Noctuidae???)
According to picture I have to say that here we have a very nice macro with good details, interesting POV (thanks to this POV catepillar seems really interesting), and good details.

i can understand your excitement...even i had found a a very pretty catterpillar and didn't know it did a lot of reseach and still didn't find untill a member of TN found the ID...so since you have uploaded it just hope someone will id it..
but it will help to write in your note where you shot it which place etc etc...for anyone to id it.

What an interesting shot - very strong horizontal elements - which make the head tail and segment markings stand out very clearly. Great depth of colour also.

Grande Taba! Que olhos você têm! Achar um trequinho desses aí camuflado não é para qualquer um! Muito bonita a composição horizontal, com belo corte. A textura da folha no fundo é tão bonita quanto o bicho!

I liked the horizontal lines and the panoramic crop. The exposure and the colors very nice. You have taken the photo under soft light. It looks like a Long Vehicle :)

Dear Tabajara,
this is a cool lepidopteran larva, truly strange looking. Your photographic technique is perfect, the composition too. Like Radomir I am unable to help naming the species. the only caterpillar remotely looking like this in Europe is Charaxes, a Nymphalid. Thanks for presenting it.

great colors and lovely lines...i wish you had'nt kept him along the central line...1/3rd up or down would have been a stronger compo.
