[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Photo taken yesterday at Mocambo Park. According to what I've already written here, there's a little maize plantation there. Some time ago, when I checked out the plantation, looking for some macros, I noticed there were insects galore in the area.

This is another of them. As for the identification, I don't have the slightest idea.

The insect has approximately one centimeter.

Hi Livio :-) Looks like Brasilia and Poland have got something similiar :-) This insect looks like common in Poland Skorek [in English Earwig - looks like one from this family]. Very nice composition and DOF. Sunny as always :-)

Wow! The details in this photo are really RAZORsharp! I can even see the tiny 'hairs' on the leaf! Colors are great and so is the composition. Again; the details on such a tiny insect are really very sharp. Bravo! TFS!

Very good macro Livio.
Sharpness, details and comopsition are excellent!
Very nice colours and POV.

As usual, impressive. TFS!

Good detailed shot Livio! Lovely title and perfect DOF...TFS

I am amazed how you manage those pictures of tiny insects repeatedly with such sharpness and good light ! For me, it's more like a once-a-year piece of luck when I make it ;°)
Keep'em coming!

Hi Livio, definitley an earwig of some kind. Very nice shot. Nice perspective and colours, perhaps a little oversharpened but not too much. Very good shot.

Perfectly clear image Livio, lovely colours as usual and great background.
I also thought this was an earwig.
TFS.

Very clear shot Livio. Excellent sharpness/dof with plenty of details, great colours and very good composition. Very interesting little critter - the ones we have here in Denmark are all brownish with big claws at the rear.

Great macro livios.
Perfect sharpness, good colors and POV.
Very beautiful.
Congratulations!

Great capture of this earwig, Livio. The DOF is really impressive. I like the diagonals as well. Your macros are fantastic, well done.

Hi Livio
I think this is some kind of earwig - we have similar looking critters here in SA, more brown, up to 25 mm long. Very nice picture.
As for the owl - thanks for the WS, splendid job. I do not know who wrote the stanza on the wise old owl, I have know it for a very long time, I'm sorry, also that I do not comment too regularly, time is just not there to browse like in the past. TFS
