Encontrei este gafanhoto aqui próximo a minha casa. Consegui levantar o galho onde ele se encontrava para fotografa-lo e dar um efeito melhor na foto.

What a strange grasshopper... still has some dinosaur genes in him or maybe genes from aliens.. I wonder how he can hide from predators with this red color, which is just perfect for photographers as it is really striking on that curled green leaf.
I am very curious about that specie.
Very nice and well done with good DOF.

Jose, Amazing capture of this grasshopper. The color and detail are great. Great Work!

Wow ! What a beautiful and funny Grasshopper ! Good colors and details.
Well done !

This is a real beauty of a picture and of a grasshopper too. I would guess it is a good mimic of a brown dead leave, but here of course it is kind of out of context. All the better for the photographer and for us, as pictures of good mimics in their porper environment tend to be unspectacular! Excellent sharpness, a pity we do not see the rear end. A note would have been great too.
Congrats!

Olá Macromundo,
Interessante captura.
A nitidez e a composição da foto está ótima.
Para mim, este bicho é inédito.
Parabéns!

What an amazing colour! You have captured him really well.
It's a shame you didn't include a note, would be perfect with such an unusual post.

Excellent survey macro.
Also fantastic insect, to look at pleasantly.

Unusual and well detailed shot Jose, it could do with just a touch more DoF so that the top of the front leg and the rear antennae were in focus, a fine shot all the same.

What a very strange exemplar to me, Jose, never seen, I don't know if I have to say, that this is a beautiful animal, but the picture is great, nice light, nice DOF and sharpness is also very good.

nitidez e cores fantasticas

Great details of this impressive grasshopper. Excellent contrast between the vegetation and the grasshopper. Well done.

How unusual! This is a wonderful capture of this grasshopper! The leaves are spectacular also, I really like the way you have photographed them from the side--what a great composition! Marvellous detail and clarity. An awe inspiring effort!

A great image of an incredible looking species Jose.
I just had to chuck it in my favourites.
Nice work.
Cheers
Steve
