This is another transparent butterfly, I believe that it is very common in many parts of the world, I have view in the sites Trek some copies.

Greta oto is one of a number of similar transparent winged butterflies. It comes from central America, and is found from Mexico to Panama. It is quite common in its zone, but it not easy to find because of its transparent wings, which is a natural camouflage mechanism.

The thin legs of this butterfly do not seem strong enough to hold up all that wing! Great colours-and you can almost feel the texture of the wings. To see the body through the wings is remarkable, I have never seen a transparent butterfly. You have shown great patience in your composition. Very nice photo!

We don't have this butterfly in New Zealand.
It is very unusual and beautiful.

Excellent shot of this beautiful butterfly Jose. Thinking back to TN photos, is it a Glass Wing butterfly? Not here in NZ unfortunately. So exquisite, TFS.

NIce shot, unfortunately focus a bit soft, and colours aren't really natural on the fly maybe because of the flash.

Muito boa macro, acredito que a close-up ajudou, pena que mesmo com a objetiva toda fechada a profundidade fica crítica, a segunda perna e antena já estão começando a ficar fora de foco.

Jose, Nice shot. I hope to someday have the chance to capture a transparent butterfly myself. It looks like you missed a bit on where your focal plane hit. It seems to have hit a bit to the front of your subject. As you know, every mm counts in macro. Overall a good shot, Thanx! Pts later..

Muito boa macro, detalhes ótimos. Esta borboleta é toda transparente e o flash muitas vezes reflete uma pouco de luz o que torna difícil a foto. Boa foto!

José Reynaldo, nunca vi uma borboleta dessas por aqui.

Outra bela captura. Gosto muito do fundo. A borboleta estava no chão?

Também chamou minha atenção o fato de que, mesmo tendo usado F/8, o fundo ficou desfocado - o que ficou ótimo.

Das suas borboletas transparentes esta é a melhor, mais detalhes, muito boa macro.

Irei comentar caso eu ache que a foto esta bacana... e se eu realmente gostar da foto.
