If somebody out there knows how to identify this one, please, let me know.

This guy did allow me to get close. It can be found in open lands, resting upon low trees that are a part of the "Cerrado", the typical vegetation of the region I live in.

Hi Friend, the colours and exposure look good. The BG sky is awesome - so blue. Good POV too looking up at it,
Well done
Janice

Well taken, nice detail in the whites. It does look as if it belongs in the Phoebe family though I could not find it in my manual. But I agree with Claudine that outside of the color it looks just like an Eastern Phoebe/

hi Livio,
nice shot of this bird on blue BG. Details and light are good, and there is a good control of light.
well done

Hello Livio,
I have taken a picture of a very similar specie recently but it was all the contrary by being dark grey. I'll post it eventually but as I understood it was an Eastern Phoebe, “Sayornis phoebe” It might be a clue for you to investigate further… They are very look-alike...

This is a great capture of a wonderful bird. This composition and details are perfect and so is this exposure. You managed very well with white tones. Thanks,
Claudine

Hi Livio

Another splendid shot from you, my friend!
I really love the "X"-like composition you created here and also the perfect-blue sky you have as a BG.
The details on this beautiful bird are superb and very sharp and the exposure is again spot-on.

Bravo and TFS

Hi Livio,

I agree that it is some kind of Phoebe because it resembles the Says Phoebe we have here. This one is beautiful. I love the pose and composition. Beautiful colors and details and it looks like an AZ blue sky.

Livio,
Have now had time to look at this bird. This is certainly Xolmis velatus (White-rumped Monjita). The only member of genus Sayornis - the Phoebes that gets into S America is the Black Phoebe, and it doesn't range into Brazil.

Hi Livio,
No idea on te ID, but it is a little beauty. Beautiful colors and sharp detail in the plumage. Well composed, and I love that stunning blue sky backround. Awesome!
