I was so sorry these Burrowing Owls (Athene cunicularia)or Corujas Buraqueiras in Brazil were just on top of an electrical post instead of a beautiful tree...but anyway they were in wild, free and having fun while my lens attracted their attention. Those intriguing eyes are just irresistible to be registered...so here they are.

As I have already posted something about them, I would like to remark that burrowing owls are one of few owl species that can easily be seen under daylight.

Hello Fabiano!
It is not always possible to choose the place where interesting object is sitting. And this is natural. Unfortunatelly sometimes to often the human activity is changing natural environment so there is less and less natural places. But on the other hand firtunatelly a lot of birds and other animals can adapt to these conditions.
Anyway, this picture (even if the owls are on the tree) is very nice. I like composition, details, DOF and poses of birds.
TFS and take another very good pictures! ;>
Greetings from Poland,
Radomir

Wow, Fabiano. What a wonderful shot of the two owls. So clear. One can see the stiplings on the feathers and their beaks look quite menacing. Their eyes are so expressive as they glare at one in disdain. Nice depth of field. Never mind about the electrical pole it is still an exceptional picture. Good work. Regards, Irmgard

Hello Fabiano,
Great photo of these owls. Good timing: the moment that they both look to you. The composition, sharpness, BG, DOF and pose are very good.
Regards,
Peter

Don't feel sorry Fabiano because this is a beautiful shot anyway.
Just love the way both of them are looking towards the viewer.
Composition and sharpness are excellent and details in the feathers and lighting are most wonderful.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Harry

Lindíssima a foto! Parabéns!!
Abraços do primo!

Beautiful shot!!!

Hello Fabiano,

Just what Radomir write. It isn't possible to choose the place where interesting object is sitting. The choice make the animals by them self. Nevermind I find this a wonderful capture. Colours, POV and DOF are oké. Regards and TFS Bob
